Ann G. McEntyre

Ann G. McEntyre, age 85 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, May 19th at Golden Living Center in Rome. Ann was born on January 14, 1929 to the late Clint Greeson and Dovie Hall Greeson. She was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church and the Reaper Sunday School Class. She was also an Alumna of Red Bud High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Harrison McEntyre; step-mother, Levy Caldwell Greeson; sister, Hilda Parrott; and step-brother, Junior Holcomb. She is survived by her son, Mike McEntyre and his wife Judy; daughter, Rita Daugherty and her husband Thomas; step-sister-in-law, Bertha May Holcomb; three grandchildren, Amy Jones and her husband Jason, Mandy Lund and her husband Matt, and Ben McEntyre and his wife Tracey; three great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gabe Jones, and Aria McEntyre; special children, David and Leah Brisindine; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 24th at 11:00am at Belmont Baptist Church with Dr. John Allen officiating. Jim Sellers will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving include Ben McEntyre, Jason Jones, Matt Lund, Rodney Blalock, Scott Brisindine, and David Brisindine. Honorary Pallbearers will be Reapers Sunday School Class, Elsie Fain, and Nell Howard. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home.
