Ann Spain

Ann Spain, age 70 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her residence. Ann was born on October 24, 1943 in Chattooga County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Carl D. Sills and Mildred Barnett Sills. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert L. Spain; grandson, Joey Gravitte; and brother, Barry Sills. She is survived by her son, Oliver Spain and his wife Teresa of Burlington, NC; two daughters, Angelia Shipman, and Melissa Gravitte and her husband James all of Calhoun; one brother, Robert L. Sills of Cedartown; one sister, Jean Parker of Cedartown; five grandchildren, Robert Spain, Jennifer Lineburger and her husband Billy, Jamey Brown and her husband Brian, Hannah Brown and her husband Joe, and Jarett Gravitte and his wife Stephanie; and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 20th at 3:00PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Adrian Craig and Reverend Phil Williams officiating.
