Derenny Lyle "Luke" Harkins

Derenny Lyle “Luke” Harkins, age 52 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Health System & Medical Center. Luke was born on July 1, 1963 to Barbara Jean Sexton Harkins and the late Jesse Boyd Harkins. He was a member of Gainesville Church of God. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jean Harkins; sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Rodney Smith; and nephew, Grayson Smith all of Gainesville. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 20th at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home of Gainesville. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday from 1 PM until the funeral hour at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
