Iris Bagby King

Veleta Iris Bagby King, age 74 of Ranger, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at her residence. Iris was born on December 25, 1939 in Gwinnett, GA to Nellie Orr Bagby and the late Benjamin Clay Bagby. She was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church and has been a resident of Gordon County since 2001. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles King, Sr. of Ranger; son, Charles E. King, Jr.; daughter, Tamra King-Nappi; brother, Ivan Bagby; three sisters, Joyce Ewing, Joan Nicholes, and Jane Mathews; two grandchildren, Joshua Dakota Brackenridge and Kristen Lee King; one great-granddaughter, Katelynn Delozier also survives. Memorial Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 30th at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Chaplain Dave Smith officiating.
