Janice Powell Graham

Janice Powell Graham, age 67 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Gordon Hospital. Janice was born on October11, 1946 in Gordon County to the late Willie B. Powell and Janette Meadows Powell. She was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church and has been a resident of Gordon County all her life. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, David Lamar Graham, and the father of her children, Lamar H. Graham. She is survived by her son, Jamie Graham and his wife Lydia; sister, Cynthia Jones and her husband Randall; nephew, Zane Jones and his wife Teresa; and two great-nieces, Savannah and Allie Jones all of Calhoun. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 5th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Greg Cowart and Reverend Jamey Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Zane Jones, Rodney Mathis, Kelly Quinn, Kelly Cordell, Shane Carney, and Jason Randolph. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Mathis, Jerry Quinn, Roger Mathis, Clifton Smith, Kurt Sutherland, and Roger Smith. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
