Johnnie Ruth Lusk

Johnnie Ruth Greeson Lusk, age 76 of Gordon County, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. Johnnie Ruth was born on June 21, 1939 in Gordon County to the late Austin Greeson and Jewell Thomason Greeson. She was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Grady “C.G.” Lusk; and sister, Betty Greeson Dorsey. She is survived by her son, Alan Lusk and his wife Cindy of Calhoun; two daughters, Kathi Chastain and her husband Mike of Calhoun, and Judy L. Estren of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Tom Greeson and his wife Helen; three grandchildren, Eric Floyd, Monica Floyd, and Victoria “Tori” Estren; six step-grandchildren, Heather Chastain, Michael Chastain, Johnny Land, Windy Weiss, Melissa Cavender and Mark Cavender; and several great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 6th at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Steven Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with the Deacons of Meadowdale Baptist Church serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Eunice Jones Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5th from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
