Louise Shugart Morrison

Louise Shugart Morrison, age 95, formerly of Calhoun, passed away Saturday morning June 27th at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth. Louise was born February 10, 1920 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Homer S. Shugart and Lula Lummus Shugart. She was a homemaker and member of the Dogwood Baptist Church in East Point. She and her husband John C. Morrison who passed away September 9, 1982 had lived in the metro area since 1946. Besides her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her sister and three brothers, Thelma Cochran, R.T. Shugart, Dewey Shugart and Bud Shugart. Survivors include her daughters, Joan Hoffstetter of Lawrenceville and Peggy Hynote of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, John Matthew Owens and Amy Elizabeth Owens Shaw and her husband Melvin; great grand children, Hannah Marie and Hadley Elizabeth. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday July 2nd, 2015 at 3 pm in Fain Cemetery with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating.
