Lucille Chastain Robinson Pitchford

Lucille Chastain Robinson Pitchford, age 97 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in Gordon Health Care. Lucille was born on April 23, 1917 in Gordon County. She was the daughter of the late James Grady Chastain and Ruby Pearl Carlisle Chastain. She has been a member of the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church since 1934. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Travis Robinson; second husband, Bill Pitchford; son, Tramel Robinson; brother, Dennis Chastain; and sister, Mary Mogavero. She is survived by one brother, Roy Chastain and his wife Jean of Calhoun; one grandson, Jimmy Robinson and his wife Kathy of Cohutta, GA; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pauline Chastain of Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted on Friday, September 5th at 1:00pm at Fain Cemetery with Rev. Bob Sampley officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the funeral from 11am until 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
