Renee King Fox

Mrs. Renee King Fox, age 77 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday morning at Calhoun Health Care. Renee was a lifelong resident of Gordon County where she attended Belmont Baptist Church. Prior to retirement she was employed as a clerical assistant at the Gordon County Tax Assessor’s Office. Renee is preceded in death by her late husband Alton “Bucky” Fox and a brother Will King. Survivors include her son Burton Fox and his wife Sharon of Calhoun, brother: Jimmy King and his wife Donna of Calhoun, two sisters: Johnnie Johnson and Margaret Zipperer both of Atlanta, two grandchildren: Jacob and Benjamin Fox and several nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 2p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Madison Hunt will have charge of the music. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday December 30, 2013 from 4 to 8p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. Pallbearers serving include: Jacob Fox, Ben Fox, Billy Greene, Kyle Brown, Chad King, and Mitchell King. Honorary Pallbearers include: Bill Towers, Johnny Mack Brown, and the City of Calhoun Fire Department. These gentlemen are requested to be at the funeral home by 1:45p.m. Tuesday December 31, 2013.
