Shelva Jean Durow

Shelva Jean Durow, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. Shelva was born on November 17, 1946 in Neon, Kentucky to the late Roy Elliot and Herma Watts Elliot. Shelva was retired from Mannington after 20 years of service. She was also formerly employed by Shaw Industries, and has been a resident of Gordon County since 1976. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rochelle Hudgins; and brother, Rodney Elliot. She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Durow of Calhoun; three sons, James Durow of Calhoun, William Loftis of Acampo, CA and Timmy Loftis of Calhoun; two daughters, Lucy Lay of Calhoun and Bridgett Youell of Rapid City, SD; one brother, Wayne Elliott of Algonac, MI; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
