Sue Cline Holbert

Sue Cline Holbert, age 79 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Gordon Hospital. Sue was born on January 4, 1935 in Gordon County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Olen Cline and Verna Mae Pendley Cline. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Olin Holbert; her daughter, Carol Holbert Bergos; and brother, Charles Cline. She is survived by her son, Dwight Holbert of Calhoun; sister, Bobbie Cline of Summerville, GA; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 13th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving include Brad Henderson, Charlie Lumpkin, Ro Holbert, Mylan Holbert, Pat Pendley and Bill Hightower. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 – 8pm at the funeral home.
