Betty Chapman Balliew

Betty Lou Chapman Balliew, age 76 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Fifth Avenue Health Care in Rome, GA. Betty was born on April 26, 1944 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Lee Otis Chapman and Mary Lou Poarch Chapman. She was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Lee Chapman. She is survived by: her loving husband, Bobby Balliew of Calhoun; son, Lamar Balliew and his wife Cindy of Rome, GA; daughter, Christine Erwin and her husband Larry of Calhoun; brother, Troy Chapman; two grandchildren, Timothy Burchett, and Dallas Erwin; five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Tim Burchett, Nick Burchett, Noah Lincoln, Matt Chapman, Mitchell Chapman, and Jonathan Novicki.
