Byron D Meadows

Byron D. Meadows, age 64 of Calhoun died at 6:05 AM, Thursday, April 4 in Gordon Hospital. Byron was born, September 6, 1954, a son of the late John and Vera Nelson Meadows. Also, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Tomlinson Meadows April 21, 2016. He was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and was a Charter Member of the Heritage Baptist Church. Byron is survived by two daughters, Carrie Thomas and her husband Jason; Kay Dziuba and her husband Pawel; mother in law, Ann Walraven; grandchildren, Cooper Thomas, Lexi Dziuba, Keli Dziuba, and Derryl Dziuba; brothers in law, Frankie Tomlinson and his wife Teresa, Garry Tomlinson and his wife Charlotte, and Jimmy Tomlinson; a special cousin, Margie Weeks; and his beloved dog, Rue. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday. April 7 at the Heritage Baptist Church with Dr. Brent Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Frankie Tomlinson, Steve Pulliam, Anthony Mangum, Jimmy Leatherwood, Ken Brown, and Scott Clements. Honorary pallbearers are Garry Tomlinson and Vaughn Robbins.
