Clemmie Floyd Wright, age 94 of Plainville, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center. Clemmie was born on April 9, 1925 in Gordon County, GA to the late Robert Ray Floyd and Molly Scott Floyd. In addition to her parents, Clemmie was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Wright; siblings, Mildred Floyd, Jerry Floyd, Hildreth Woods, Hoyt Floyd, and Louise Floyd; and great-grandson, Charlie Wright. Clemmie was a charter member of Plainville Independent Methodist Church and attended Calhoun First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. Clemmie was loved by all who knew her. Clemmie is survived by: her son, Dempsey Wright and his fiancé, Marie Gore; two daughters, Cheryl Hollis and her husband Dale and Kayanne Satterfield and her husband Bruce; five grandchildren, Cory Hollis and his wife JoDe, Whitney Hollis Paradis and her husband Aaron, Josh Wright and his wife Scarlett, Tyler Hollis, and Brooke Satterfield; six great-grandchildren, Lowen Wright, Emmie Paradis, Wright Paradis, Isabelle Hollis, Hannah Hollis, and Hailey Hollis; brother, Lex Floyd and his wife Barbara Jean; and sister, Betty Byerley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 10th at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. John Barber officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery with Dr. Bert Vaughn in charge of graveside rites. Pallbearers serving include: Tyler Hollis, Josh Wright, Aaron Paradis, Cory Hollis, Chad Floyd, and Terrelle Byerley. Honorary Pallbearers include: the Ruth Sunday School Class, Susan Dunaway, David Brittain, and Jennifer Biddy. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. In addition to flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Calhoun First Baptist Church or the Plainville Independent Methodist Church.
