Faye Jones Butler

Faye Jones Butler, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care of Jasper. Faye was born on May 21, 1926 in Pickens County, GA to the late John Steven Jones and Mary Roberta Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Butler; her daughter, Dianne Butler Gilbert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Jean Jones, Lynn and Hester Jones, Hulon and Dora Jean Jones, John and Frances Jones, Edward and Viola Jones; sister, Grace Jones Chastain Byran and her husbands. She is survived by her daughter, Charme Harmon and her husband Larry of Jasper; son in law, Dick Gilbert; grandchildren, Hayley Gilbert Arnold, Christi Gilbert Bennett and her husband Shannon, Becky Gilbert Johns and her husband Ian, Jacob Butler Harmon and his wife Angie, and Emily Harmon Maynard and her husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Ella and Lilli Bennett, Chase Harmon, Nolan Hearn, Ben and Maeva Maynard, Anna George, Jana, Jaide, Jace, and Blair Johns; several special nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 9th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Langston and Reverend Donnie Hudgins officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Jacob Harmon, Case George, Shannon Bennett, Ian Johns, Craig Jones, William Butler, Kenneth Jones, Chris Maynard, William Jones, and Billy Erwin. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 – 8PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
