James D. Jimmy" Caldwell

James D. “Jimmy” Caldwell, age 69 of the Plainville Community, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Floyd Medical Center. James was born on February 15, 1947 in Lownders County, GA to the late William Harvey Caldwell and Clarice Winnie Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Caldwell; and sister, Annette Brown. Prior to retirement he was employed by Kobelco. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hall Caldwell of Plainville; three sons, Michael Caldwell, Sr. of Smithville, GA, William Caldwell and his wife Traci of Calhoun and Eddie Caldwell of Plainville; brother, William D. Caldwell of Kingston, GA; and sister, Lynn Cagle of Trion, GA. Six grandchildren also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 19th at 1 PM in Scott Cemetery with Reverend Jessie Carver officiating.
