Kathy G. Eaker

Kathy G. Eaker, age 52 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at her residence. Kathy was born on July 17, 1962 in Gordon County. She was the daughter of William Leroy Carpenter and Ida Elizabeth Hall Carpenter. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and has been a lifetime resident of Gordon County. She was formerly employed by Fafnir Bearing and Echota Cotton Mill. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claudia McDougle, Frances Williams and T.D. Carpenter. She is survived by her husband, Joey Eaker; son, Joseph Eaker; parents, William “Billy” Carpenter and Liz Carpenter all of Calhoun; sisters, Teresa Hodgkins and Tammie Hall both of the Sonoraville Community; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 24th at 1:00 from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Minister Terry York and Minister Kent Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Gaines Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
