I am so saddened to hear of Treys passing. I had the great honor to serve with Trey in both C Company and Headquarters Company of the 4th Battalion, 27th Infantry from 1989-1991. As his commander in each of these companies, I could always count on Trey to have the moral courage and passion to speak up and fight for what was best for his soldiers. We went through some pretty grueling experiences together but I can ensure you that despite all of us being covered in mud, exhausted, and dehydrated if there was one person smiling among our 100+ soldiers it would be Trey. I can see that smile now. Our thoughts and prayers will remain with you.

One of my fondest memories of Trey is in a Christmas school performance while we were in jr high school. He sang, " Jolly Oh St. Nicholas" and was amazing. Who knew he could sing like that? My thoughts and prayers for Carole, Monica and children.
