Dr. Patricia Hope Glasser, age 92 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Dr. Glasser was born on November 14, 1927 in Akron, OH to the late Robert Lee Collins and Jessie Mildred Nied Collins. In addition to her parents, Dr. Glasser was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Griffith Glasser in 2012, and a brother, Robert L. "Robin" Collins. Dr. Glasser raised her family while attending college at the University of Miami, FL and earned her PhD in Education. Dr. Glasser is survived by: her daughter, Robin Ricotta of Fairport, NY; son, Clarence Larry Webb Jackson, III of Lake Worth, FL; brother, Edward “Ted” Collins of Calhoun; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to NorthStar Hospice at 12 Sammy McGhee Blvd, Ste 202, Jasper, GA 30143.
