Addison Jackson "Jack" Moorehead

Addison Jackson “Jack” Moorehead, age 93 of Resaca, GA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Jack was born on October 11, 1932 in Albertville, AL to the late Millard Moorehead and Floy Walraven. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: his wife of 59 years, Inez; his sister, Daphine (George) Avery; his brother Bobby (Debbie) Walraven; and granddaughter, Mehry Moorehead. Jack loved to garden, spend time with his family, and laugh.

Jack is survived by: two sons, Marty Moorehead of Calhoun, GA and Tony (Felicia) Moorehead of Georgetown, TN; his brother Larry (Shirley) Walraven of Sugar Valley; his niece Diane (Charley) Allen of Calhoun, along with other nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren, Braley Moorehead, Addison Moorehead, and Kinley Moorehead to whom he was affectionately known as “PawPaw”.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 5 PM until 6 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 6 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with his sons, Marty Moorehead and Tony Moorehead officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be made to the charity of your choice.
