Agnes Bertha Holmes

Monday, May 14, 2007 Mrs. Agnes Bertha Holmes, age 72, of Fairmount. Died Saturday May 12th at her residence following several months of declining health. Mrs. Holmes was born in Gordon County on February 8, 1935. Daughter of the late John Butler and Ethel Hancock Lomax. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove/Ryo Baptist Church and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Childers and Lola Cantrell. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie E. Parsons of Canton. Two brothers, Lewis Lomax of Canton and Marvin Lomax of Resaca. One sister, Louise Beal of Fairmount. Two Grandsons, Judson and Josh Parsons. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday May 15th at 3pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove/Ryo Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4 until 7pm.
