Ann L. Johnson

Ann L. Johnson, age 89 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Harborview Rome.

Ann was born on September 14, 1933 in Pine Log, GA, daughter of the late Charles Patrick Chambers and Bonnie Beatrice Cagle Chambers. In addition to her parents, Ann is also preceded in death by: her husband, Perry Lee Johnson; and brother, Joe Taylor Chambers.  She was a graduate of Pine Log Schools and Reinhardt College. Ann was retired from Mohawk Industries and prior worked for GA Tufters.

Ann is survived by: three children, Patsy Buffington and her husband Danny, Dale Johnson and his wife Elizabeth, and Sophia Bertron; ten grandchildren, Daniel Buffington, Matthew Johnson and his wife Dana, Jacob Johnson and his wife Tanna, Nicole Johnson and Mitch, Helen Johnson and Enrique, Joshua Mote and his wife Margaret, T.J. Mote and his wife Meghan, Patrick Mote, Jessica Mensing and her husband Kyle, and Drew Bertron; thirteen great-grandchildren, Drake Johnson and Grace, Destiny Johnson and Austin, Jackson Walker, Baylor Black, Emilee Johnson and Dustin, Madison Johnson, Remi Burgess, Perry Mote, Alex Mote, Elizabeth Mote, Odessa Mensing, Henry Mensing, and Oliver Mensing; and one great-great-grandchild, Brooklynn Hopkins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2 PM until 5 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Clifford Free officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
