Anne Butler Collins, age 89 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at The Fountains.

Anne was born on May 3, 1937 in Calhoun, GA, daughter of the late J.W. Butler and Frances Silks Butler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: a son, Bill Collins; son-in-law, Bo Richardson; brother, Harry Butler; and grandson, Noah Smith. Anne was a loving wife, mother, nana, and friend. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, the beach, riding in the mountains, and playing bridge. She connected with people through collecting and sharing cookbooks, recipes, and the memories they hold. She made family holidays special. She was a member of Calhoun First United Methodist Church.

Anne is survived by: her husband, E.W. “Ted” Collins; son, James Collins; three daughters, Kim Richardson, Jennifer Smith, and Julie (Ernie) Evans; five grandchildren, Cody (Lorrie) Smith, John (Raleigh) Richardson, Jenna (Ross) Wyatt, Alex (Emily) Evans, and Kate Evans; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 10 AM until 11:30 AM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A family graveside service will follow with Reverend Jeremy Noffsinger officiating.
