Betty Lou Davis Payne

Betty Lou Davis Payne, age 74, of Resaca, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA.

Betty was born on June 3, 1949, in Fannin County, GA, daughter of the late Drew Davis and Ruby Graves Davis. Betty loved flowers, fishing, camping and NASCAR.

Betty is survived by: her fiancé, Ernest Self; two sons, Randy Payne and Daniel Payne and his wife Sandra; daughter-in-law, Patty Arnwine; grandchildren, Kim Ghorley and her husband Daniel, Tabby Shirley and her husband Brandon, Michele Cromer, John Neal, Kevin Neal, Tiffany Broome, Pamela Arnwine, and Val Arnwine; great-grandchildren, Khloe Ghorley, Brayden Ghorley, Noah and Aaron Arnwine, Macie Polley, Ron Scheetz, Sadie Scheetz, Hazel Cox, Jimmy Cox, and Eryn Cromer; and siblings, Steve Davis and his wife Joyce, Wanda Ray, Joe Davis and his wife Jane, Claudia Headrick, Jeri Brown, and Micky Davis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 4 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 3:30 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend James Gravitt officiating. Interment will follow in Miracle Temple Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving include Daniel Ghorley, Brayden Ghorley, Aaron Arnwine, Michael Davis, Tommy Collins, and Kevin Neal.
