Billy Scoggins

Billy Scoggins, age 82 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his residence. Billy was born on April 20, 1937 in Bartow County, GA to the late Julian Edward Scoggins and Eula Jane Herndon Scoggins. In addition to his parents, Billy was also preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Scoggins,two brothers, Weldon (Ruby) Scoggins, Glen (Sybil) Scoggins and sisters, Anita (Clarence) Garren and Lucille (Don) Garland; sister-in-law, Marva Jean Scoggins; and several special nieces and nephews. Prior to his retirement, Billy was owner and operator of Scoggins Printing Company and Office Supplies. He was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. Billy is survived by: his wife, Betty Nichols Scoggins; daughter, Debbie (Kim) Muse; brother, Darrell Scoggins; two grandchildren, Brad (Sarah) Brown and Nicholas (Jennifer) Muse; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Brown and Eli Muse. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, August 29th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. John Barber officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Brad Brown, Nicholas Muse, Carl Scoggins, Mike Scoggins, Mitchell Scoggins, Travis Scoggins, David Scoggins, and Kyle Young.
