Candace Marie Carver

Candace Marie Carver, age 35 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Candace was born on August 24, 1985 in Whitfield County, daughter of Leeman M. Tankersley and Barbara Ann Aftuck Burgess. Candace was a self-employed cosmetologist.

She is survived by: her father, Leeman “Duke” Tankersley and his wife Kippy; mother, Barbara Burgess and her husband Tom; two sons, Corbin Fuller and Zachary Carver; grandmother, Sidney Tankersley; two sisters, Leigh Mazur and her husband Joe and Melani McIntosh; uncle, Rodney Aftuck; and two aunts, Cindy Francis and Sally Tankersley.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 8th from 10 AM until the funeral hour at 11 AM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 8th at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Shane Parrott and Reverend Jason Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving include: Michael Burgess, Matthew Burgess, Josh Fuller, Joe Mazur, Rodney Aftuck, and Nathan Fuller.

In addition to flowers donations may be made to the Gordon County Animal Shelter.
