Carey Tyler McEntire

Tyler McEntire passed away suddenly at his home in Newport News, VA. on September 21, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father Carey McEntire, Grandfather Jack McEntire, Grandfather Billy Joe Cook of Vardaman, MS., A special step grandfather Thomas “Bud” Hester of Tupelo Ms. and Baby Atlas McEntire. He leaves behind his Mom, Jeannie McEntire, girlfriend Alexis Triolet, his grandmother Peggy McEntire, a brother Josh McEntire (Crystal) of Cartersville, GA., His Aunt Amy (David) of Monterey, CA. and special cousins Geoffrey & Jack Fletcher also of California. Aunt Sharon (Rickey) of Calhoun. Uncle Joe (Tess) of Vardaman, MS. He also leaves a number of cousins that he was close to, Bob Mcentire, Chris and Katelyn, Melea & Johnny Harkins, Marla McEntire, Lacey McEntire and “Uncle” Kevin McEntire (Baby Atlas and I were waiting on you).

Tyler graduated from Calhoun City School in 2010 and continued on to College. After College he joined the Navy. He graduated from Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut in 2017 at which time he drove from the East Coast to the West Coast to the Navy Base in Washington State. Due to a back injury and surgery he had to leave the Navy after 3 years. At that time he settled in Newport News, VA. becoming a Consultant for Financing and Sales. He was also an entrepreneur along with some Property Management while studying for his Real Estate License. His greatest passion in life was spending time with his family and “Little Pedro” his dog of 20 years. He was taken from us too soon and is greatly missed.
