Carla Phillips Butler

Carla Phillips Butler, age 54 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Carla was born on January 24, 1968, in Cartersville, Georgia to the late Roy Phillips and Faye DeBoard Phillips. She spent her career as a Paraprofessional at Fairmount Elementary School working with Pre-K children, Carla enjoyed working with children.

She is survived by her husband, William Butler; mother, Faye DeBoard Phillips; two sons, Casey Young of Macon, Logan Young and his companion Monica Jiles of Chattanooga; brother, Geary Phillips of Adairsville; mother in law, Jane Butler; stepsons, Thomas Butler, and Owen Butler; stepdaughter, Madison Butler; grandchildren, Charleigh Broome, Wesley Young, and Isabella Young; sister-in-law, Cher Worley; brother-in-law, Ben Worley; nephews, Lane Worley, and Clay Worley.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 4:30 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Gibson officiating. Aaron and Rene Petty will have charge of music, and  burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving are as follows: Ronnie DeBoard, Brian DeBoard, Andy Noles, Thomas Butler, Owen Butler, and Lane Worley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
