Carolyn Diane Barton Nesbitt

Carolyn Diane Barton Nesbitt, age 78 of Calhoun, GA, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Carolyn was born on August 7, 1947 in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Jess and Azielee Barton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, David Michael Nesbitt. She was a die hard Falcons fan, loved Elvis, and was a proud patriotic American. Most of all, Carolyn loved her family and was of the Christian faith.

Carolyn is survived by: three sons, Chris (Angie) Nesbitt, Grant Nesbitt, and Kelly (Suzanne) Nesbitt; two daughters, Angel (Bill) Dawson, and Tania (Brian) Davis; eleven grandchildren, C.J. Nesbitt, Trevor (Maddy) Nesbitt, Jewelia Nesbitt, Shaun Nesbitt, Avery (Parker) Reeder, Jenna Kirby, Kaitlin (Dustin) Massingill, Justin Chastain, Gavin Nesbitt, Bailey (Joe) Bunch, and Ethan (Hope) Nesbitt; and four great-grandchildren, Emmett Rush, Alana Massingill, D.J. Massingill, and Bronx Bunch.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22nd, 2026 from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held.
