Carrie Kitchens Milam, age 59, of Adairsville, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Carrie was born on December 14, 1965, in Athens, GA, daughter of Joe Kitchens and the late Gwen Burson Warmels. She earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Darton College and was a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse who deeply cared for her patients. Carrie's warmth, kindness, and giving heart touched the lives of many, as she often went out of her way to help others.
Carrie loved going to concerts, especially live music events with friends and family. She had a passion for traveling and exploring new places, always eager for the next adventure. Whether it was jet skiing, water sports, snow tubing, or white water rafting, Carrie thrived on outdoor activities and spontaneous getaways.
She found joy in decorating and making her home feel welcoming and cozy, and she enjoyed shopping—especially finding special items for her loved ones. Carrie took great pride in her appearance; fashion, hair, and style mattered to her, and she was always beautifully put together. She also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, brightening every room she entered.
Carrie cherished life’s simple pleasures: a good cup of coffee, a breathtaking sunset, and meaningful conversations with those she loved. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and making lasting memories, especially with her grandchildren, whom she dearly adored.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Scott W. Milam; son, Michael (Melissa) Tye; daughter, Caroline Tye; her father, Joe (Karen) Kitchens; her extended family, Scott (Jessica) Milam, Jr., Nathan (Stephanie) Milam, and Josh (Jordan) Milam; grandchildren, Laramie Tye, Mia Tye, Jett Milam, Emery Milam, June Milam, and Ellie Milam; half-brother, Joe Kitchens; and half-sister, Mary (Brandon) Glausier.
