Mrs. Cathy Suzanne Phillips

Mrs. Cathy Suzanne Wood Phillips, age 63 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 20th, 1962, a daughter of the late Joe Martin Wood Jr., and the late Patricia Ann Stephens Wood. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Missy Shugart. She was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church and retired from Neaton Industries. She found joy in the little adventures—trips to the casino, laughter-filled days at the fair, and the thrill of riding roller coasters. More than anything, she loved her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Glenn Phillips; two sons, Darrell Edward Phillips (Jennifer), and Tad Phillip; one brother, Todd Wood (Jennifer); one sister, Tammy Bryant (Scotty); four grandchildren, Jalynn, Jayda, Aiden, and Jordyn Phillips; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 26th, 2026 at 3 PM in the chapel with Rev. Frank Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Brandon Watters, Bo Bryant, Scotty Bryant, Caleb Shugart, Dustin Young, and Bret Benton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26th, from 1 PM until 3 PM at the funeral home.
