Charles Autry Deaton, age 81 of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at his residence.


Charles was born on November 20, 1939, in Aragon, GA, son of the late Horace J. Deaton and Sylvia Aikens Deaton. In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by one son, Todd Deaton; and two brothers, Earl Deaton and Robert Deaton.

Charles is survived by his wife, Rita Fox Deaton; one son, Virgil Deaton and his wife Mary; daughters, Dana Deaton, Nita Hopper and her husband Terry and Tricia Bridwell and her husband Allen; grandchildren, Caitlyn Stewart, Shelbie Ricketson and her husband Tyler, Hayden Morris and her husband Rod, Cody Pass and his wife Brandy, Tucker Bridwell, Jada Weaver, and Jena Hopper; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Morris, Ellis Deaton Ricketson and Jase Weaver also survives.

Graveside rites will be conducted Friday November 5th at 12 noon in Fain Cemetery with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Pallbearers serving include Allen Bridwell, Terry Hopper, Tucker Bridwell, Richard Craig, Ronnie Fox, Gary Kendrick, Tyler Ricketson, and Rod Morris.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 am until 12 noon.
