Charles William Gheen

Charles William Gheen, age 86, of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026 at his residence.

Charles was born on April 26, 1939, in Knoxville, TN. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Reba and Tom Gheen. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, Bryan Gheen.

Charles was a lifelong member of the Mason's. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his bird dog. Charles also enjoyed working on his guns. 

Charles is Survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Joyce Ghenn; son, Mark William Gheen, and his wife Angela; and one grand-daughter, Alyse Gheen.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12 PM until 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Brandon Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Charles will be greatly missed by his family as well as his care givers, Sue Ledford and Kelly Kirby, and his friends.
