Charlie Childers

Charlie Childers, age 20 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Gordon Hospital. Charlie was born on March 25, 1999 in Floyd County, GA to Billy Shellhouse and Jennifer Childers Shellhouse. Charlie was a member of Newtown Baptist Church, and was an eleventh-grade student at Gordon Central High School. She loved Gordon Central Warrior football, and the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Charlie loved all as friends and loved life. Charlie is survived by her parents, Billy and Jennifer Shellhouse; brother, Brock Shellhouse; grandmother, Angie Childers; grandfather, Charles Vasser; four aunts, Cassie Childers, Debria Brown, Amanda Robinson, and Sheila Peterson; and three uncles, Chuck Brock, Chris Brown, and Anthony Robinson. Numerous cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Walter Hare officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 4 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
