Daniel Arthur Lau

Daniel Arthur Lau, age 42, of Gordon County, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Advent Health Redmond.

Daniel was born on January 17, 1983, in Dalton, Georgia, to Michael R. Lau and Sara J. Holland Lau. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents, Authur B. Lau and Hilda Wilson Lau, Roy R. Holland, and Dorothy Holland. Daniel had a great passion for music and playing guitar. As a graduate of Calhoun High School, class of 2001, he was a proud member of the marching band and was gifted in mathematics. Daniel had a great sense of humor. He loved his family and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Michael R. Lau & Sara J. Holland Lau; son, Will Lau; daughter, Jillian Lau; brother, Chad Lau; special nieces and nephews, Thea Lau, Khadyn Lau, and Carlei Lau; and special family friend, Debbie Henderson.

A Celebration of life will be conducted on Sunday, May 25th, from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home at 3PM, with Rev. Jether Cochran officiating.

The family will be receiving friends and family Sunday, May 25th, from 1PM to 3PM in the Chapel at Thomas Funeral Home.
