David Loyd Densmore

David Loyd Densmore, age 64 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his residence.

David was born on September 8th, 1957 in Whitfield County, GA, son of the late Cecil Loyd Densmore and Doris Woodham Densmore. He grew up the Redwine Cove Community and was a graduate of Valley Point High School in 1975. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a lover of classic rock and animals.
In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by: his sister Linda Densmore.
He is survived my his wife of 32 years, Janet Densmore; one son, Daniel Densmore of Griffin; one daughter, Laura Priest and her husband Jason of Dalton; step-daughter, Danielle Poarch of Calhoun; and one brother, James Densmore and his wife Rose of Ringgold. His grandchildren, Caleb Densmore, Sarah Patterson, Mallory Priest, Jackson Priest, Kathryn Polley, Memphis Polley, and Maci Polley. His special lifelong friend, Jimmy Crandall of Kentucky also survives.
David was a loving husband and father; and will be cherished in vivid memory by family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and enjoyed time with family.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday January 20th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Quarels officiating. Burial will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery.

Pallbearers severing include, Joe Hand, Randy Spearman, Travis Worley, Jimmy Crandall, Junior Raper, and Gary Poarch.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2pm on the day of the funeral.
