David Garza

David Garza, age 58 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at AdventHealth Redmond.

David was born on July 1, 1964 in Brownsville, Texas, son of the late Refugio Garza and Lucinda Garza. In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by a brother, Conrado Garza. David was an active church member of St. Clément’s Catholic Church and Escuela de Evangelizacion San Andres San Clemente. He was a master craftsman.

David is survived by: his wife, Maria Ponce-Garza; children, Jessie Ponce, Noemi Garcia, David Garza and Laura Garza; grandchildren, Jesse Ponce, Laila Ponce, Mikey Garcia, Jordan Garza, Mariah Garcia, Sophia Garcia, Andrew Garcia, David Pineda Jr., and Chanel Garza; and siblings, Vidal Garza, Refugio Garza and Olivia Sanchez.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2 PM at St. Clément’s Catholic Church with Father Carlos Ortega officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

David Garza, de 58 años de edad de Calhoun, GA, falleció el miércoles 15 de febrero de 2023 en AdventHealth Redmond.

David nació el 1 de julio de 1964 en Brownsville, Texas, hijo del fallecido  Refugio Garza y Lucinda Garza.  Además de sus padres, David también fue precedido en la muerte por un hermano, Conrado Garza.  David era miembro de la iglesia de  St. Clément y de la  Escuela de Evangelización San  Andrés San Clemente.  Era un maestro artesano.

A David le sobreviven: su esposa, Maria Ponce-Garza; hijos, Jessie Ponce, Noemí García, David Garza y Laura Garza;   nietos, Jesse Ponce, Laila Ponce, Mikey Garcia, Jordan Garza, Mariah Garcia, Sophia Garcia, Andrew Garcia, David Pineda Jr. y Chanel Garz; y  hermanos, Vidal Garza, Refugio Garza y Olivia Sánchez.

La familia recibirá a sus amigos el viernes 17 de febrero de 2023 de 5 p.m  . a 9 p.m. en Thomas Funeral Home.

Una misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el sábado 18 de febrero de 2023 a las 2 PM en la Iglesia Católica de San Clemente con el Padre Carlos Ortega oficiando. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio de Chandler.
