Frances Temples Young

Frances Temples Young, age 95 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Harbourview Rome.

Frances was born on November 13, 1930 in Gordon County, GA, daughter of the late Albert Andrew Temples and Lillian Wehunt Temples. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Trammell Young; and three sisters, Ruby Dorsey, Barbara Temples, and Shirley Wehunt. Frances was the oldest member of Salacoa Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Garden Buddies Club, and was an avid gardener who loved working with flowers.

Frances is survived by: one sister, Charlene Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11 AM at Salacoa Baptist Church with Dr. Marcus Dorsey, Rev. Travis Childers, and Rev. Crawford Greeson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers serving include: Russell Bennett, Roger Collins, Scotty Childers, Randy Mulkey, Dennis Townsend, and Gary Wells.
