Franklin “Amos” Hale, age 63, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
Mr. Hale was born on June 25, 1961 in Gordon County, GA, son of the late William Elzo Hale and Margaret Deskie Amos Hale. He spent his entire life in Northwest Georgia, with his early days in Adairsville and his adult life in Calhoun. For many years, Amos worked as a technician at Turner Heating & Air. Amos loved life and loved his family even more. Amos was the youngest brother of fifteen siblings. Being the youngest brother, he brought much joy and laughter to his family.
Mr. Hale is preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Hale, Patricia Corbin & Faye Hale; brothers, Ronald, Donald, Chester and Wayne Hale. Survivors include his brothers, Johnny (Dorothy) Hale of Cartersville, GA, and Alvin (Sandra) Hale of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Jeanette (James) McDonald of Harrison, TN, Sue (Clifford) Ball of Acworth, GA, Jean (Steve) Patterson of Rome, GA, Ruby (Dennis) Watson of Charleston, TN and Gail (Eddie) Turner of Calhoun, GA; sisters-in-law Dianne Hale of Calhoun, GA, Martha Hale of Cartersville, GA; numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, great-great nephews and nieces - all who adored him.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10 AM at Zion Hill Cemetery in Cartersville, GA with Mr. Hales’s nephew David Corbin providing the eulogy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Gail and Eddie Turner and their family for the generosity and support they provided Amos in his later years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Hills Baptist Church, Cartersville, Georgia.
