Franklin Eddie Peterson

Franklin Eddie Peterson, 70, died at his home on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Eddie was born on June 5, 1950 in Marietta, GA to Luther (Pete) and Pauline Seabolt Peterson. He moved with his family to Calhoun, GA at the age of ten, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He graduated from Calhoun High School and earned degrees from West Georgia College and Georgia State University. Eddie was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides; his mother, Pauline Peterson; his father, Pete Peterson; and his brother, Billy Peterson. Eddie was married to Judy Peterson for 37 years. He is survived by his daughter, Sally Peterson Wyatt, and son-in-law, Josh Wyatt; and his nephew, Zach Hutchinson. Eddie dedicated his career to public service for Gordon County and the City of Calhoun. He loved cycling, golfing, whitewater kayaking, running, and playing the guitar.
