Gary Austin McKenzie

Gary Austin McKenzie, age 72 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at AdventHealth Gordon. Gary was born on December 3, 1948 in Bristow, OK, son of the late Rollie McKenzie and Opal Baker McKenzie. In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by siblings, Linda, Joe and Lonnie. Gary was a resident of Georgia for the past 3 weeks, and prior resided in Oklahoma. Before his retirement, Gary worked as an aircraft mechanic and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and airplanes. Gary is survived by: his wife, Shirley Stites McKenzie; son, Kristoffer McKenzie; two daughters, Sally Lowery and April McCann; three grandchildren, Roxie Lowery, Caroline McCann and Jackson McCann and several brothers and sisters. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors.
