Gladys "Helen" Ingle

Mrs. Gladys “Helen” Tuggle Ingle of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on December 27, 2022. She was 80 years old.

Mrs. Ingle was born on January 5, 1942, in Phil Campbell, Alabama, to Mr. Millard Tuggle and Mrs. Gladys Austin Tuggle. She graduated from Valley Point High School in 1960, and then married Mr. Roy Lee Ingle. They were married happily until his death. Together, they resided in Gordon County. Mrs. Ingle was a member of the Tilton Baptist Church. She worked at Thomason Lumber Company, and then later at Gordon Building Supply. Mrs. Ingle’s family described her as a “wonderful sister” and dear friend to all.

Mrs. Ingle is preceded in death by her parents and husband, two sisters Colleen Casey and Evelyn Davenport and her husband Tommy; two children, Richard Lee Ingle and Terry Michael Ingle.

Survivors include a sister Brenda Roegner and Jesse of Resaca, Ga; stepson, David Ingle of Dalton, Ga; a granddaughter, Jill Moore of Warner Robbins, Ga; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at 11am at the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at 12pm at the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Hunt and Rev. Harold Blackstock.

Pallbearers for the service include: Rick Davenport, Jim Davenport, Britt Hasty, Josh Fowler, Jordan Fowler, and Jody Davenport.
