Grady Felton Jolley, age 72 of Calhoun, passed away on April 3, 2019 at Erlanger Health Systems. Grady was born on May 7, 1946 in Gordon County to the Late Maurice Earl Jolley and Opal Virginia Stansell. Grady started his career with the Gordon County’s Sheriffs department where he later retired after 24 years of service as a lieutenant. He was a member of Newtown Baptist Church, Sonora Masonic Lodge #221 F&AM, and Calhoun Elks Lodge. Grady was an avid golfer and loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife Sharon Jolley; his children, Danita Abernathy, Robin Jolley, Paul Hufstetler and his wife Jessica all of Calhoun; brother, Emory Jolley and his wife Carol of Calhoun; sisters, Vicki Jolley of Dahlonega, Debbie Gray of Calhoun; five grandchildren, Kenlie Abernathy, Ned Abernathy, Mitchell Hufstetler, James Hufstetler and Aleah Hufstetler. Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM from Trinity Baptist Church with Reverend Walter Hare officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The Gordon County Sheriff’s office will have charge of graveside rites. Pallbearers serving are Mike Garrigan, Mike Jones, Keith Henson, Donald Gallman, Billy Baugh and Donald Dempsey. Therrell Goswick, Sherard Parks, along with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office and Calhoun Police Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of at Trinity Baptist Church.
