Harvey L. Griffin

Harvey L. Griffin, age 77 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence.

Harvey was born on December 9, 1944 in Gordon County, GA, son of the late James D. Griffin, Sr. and Elma Cornelison Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Griffin and James D. Griffin, Jr.; and sister, Ruenell Agee. Harvey grew up in the Echota Mill Village area with many friends and family in the town. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Harvey was an avid outdoorsman and the Appalachian Trail was his lifehood.

Harvey is survived by: two daughters, Penny Bradley and her husband Donald and Sandy Logan and her husband Doug; four grandchildren, Tabitha Simmons, Dylan Bradley and his wife Avery, Olivia Logan and Isaac Logan; two great-grandchildren, Emmry Bradley and Dutch Bradley; one brother, Archie L. Griffin; one sister, Ruthell Taylor; and several nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Chris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Austin Fowler officiating.
