Harvey Dale Miller, age 94 Oakwood, Georgia and formerly of the Plainville Community had his heavenly homecoming on Sunday, August 2 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Harvey Dale, Dale, as he been called is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Kathleen E. Miller, a son Eric J. Miller and his wife Debra of Clermont, Georgia, and a grandson, Michael B. miller also of Clermont, Georgia.
Born in Plainville, Georgia to the late Harvey L. and Myrtle B. Miller om April 26, 1932. He graduated from Plainville High School and moved around with his occupation. He lived in Homestead, Florida until the family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. He retired from the Nashville Metro School System as a mechanic and moved to Mountain City, Tennessee. later, the family re-located and settled in Oakwood, Ga.
Dale was a retired mechanic and was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Katherine and Clara Louise. Dale served his country in the U.S Navy as a radio operator and mechanic in the Korean War.
Graveside services will be held at a date to be announced later at the Salmon Cemetery of the Scottsville-Plainville Communities with Pastor Brian Evans of he Oakwood Baptist Church officiating.
Thomas Funeral Home of Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
