Helen Greeson

Mrs. Helen Greeson, age 96, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026 at her home, Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Calhoun, GA. Helen has been a resident of Morning Pointe for four years.

She was the daughter of Maynard and Mamie Shipman Hall, and the widow of Tom Lee Greeson who passed away on August 13, 2016. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Calhoun and was a homemaker having raised five children. Helen enjoyed her home, canning, cooking and baking and trying new recipes. She was also an avid reader. Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren and each one loved their MawMaw Greeson.

Helen is survived by: one son, Thomas (Dina) Greeson; four daughters, Sharon Black, Sheila Henderson (deceased), Sandra (Ricky) Moore, and Shirley Broyles; eleven grandchildren, Connor Black, Trevor Black, India Thacker, Kelly Roach, Jason Parrott, Clint Hackney, Blake Hackney, Greer Broyles, Austin Greeson, Aden Greeson, and Avery Greeson; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one surviving sister, Jewel Woody. Helen leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
