Hugh Carl Thomas

Hugh Carl Thomas, age 90 of Gordon County, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Gordon Health Care of Calhoun. Hugh was born on December 17, 1930 in Decatur County, AL, son of the late Martin Carl Thomas and Nell Vaughn Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Ray. Hugh is survived by: his wife, Martha Ross Thomas; four sons, Gary Thomas, Steve Thomas and his wife Janie, David Thomas and his wife Silma, and Eddie Thomas; two daughters, Debby Gowens and her husband Dewey, and Cindy Lumpkin; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Hibberts and Reverend Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday 12 PM until to the funeral hour of 2PM.
