Jack D. Stepp

Mr. Jack Douglas Stepp, 78, of Calhoun, GA passed away Sunday May 21, 2017 at Gordon Hospital. Jack was born January 7, 1939 in McCaysville, GA to the late Aud Lee Stepp and Anna Lee Nari Stepp of Blue Ridge, GA. He was a graduate of West Fannin High School in 1957 and graduated from the University of Georgia with BBA in Real Estate. Jack moved to Calhoun in 1968 to open Stepp Realty Company. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Nancy Louise Querry Stepp; son Jamann L. Stepp and partner Sara Brummel and her sons Parker Brummel and Hunter Brummel; his daughter Javonne Stepp Smith and her partner Charles "Pete" Webster; all of Dalton, GA. Jack had four grandchildren: Samuel William Stepp and Lillian Lane Stepp and their mother Stephanie Stepp; Jacey Leigh Smith and Jayla Javonne Smith and their father Lee Smith and half-sister Georgia Smith; all of Dalton, GA. Siblings include: Joe Stepp (Shirley) of Calhoun, GA; Jerry Stepp (Harriett) of Decatur, GA; Linda Stepp Smith (Phil) of Athens, GA; Jon Stepp (Sandi) of Morganton, GA; Audrey Stepp Whitehead (Jerry) of Blue Ridge, GA.; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jack loved his family unconditionally. He thought the world of his grandchildren and was their biggest fan at every sports event and school activity. Services to celebrate the life of Jack Douglas Stepp will be held on Thursday, May 25th at Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. and the service will follow at 12:15 in the chapel. He will be laid to rest in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens in Blue Ridge, GA. during a graveside service at 4:00 pm.
