Sunday, July 15, 2007 Mrs. Jackie Thomas White, age 80 of 131 Saddle Mountain Dr., Calhoun, died Saturday evening July 14th. at the rsidence following a 2 week illness. Mrs. White was born in Gordon County on August 29, 1926 daughter of Randolph (R.D.) Thomas Sr. and Quilley Parson Thomas. She had live in Calhoun and Gordon County all of her life and was employed by Palmer Drug for over 40 years. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband A.L. White in 1990. Survivors include one son and his wife; Tommy and Pat White of Calhoun, two daughters and their husbands; Janie W. and Ricky Lake and June and Tommy Curtis all of Calhoun. One brother; R.D. Thomas Jr., three sisters; Mary Jo Erwin, Jeanelle Phillips, and Helen Tate all of Calhoun. Seven grandchildren; Bogin White and his wife Heather, Jake White, Boone, Jayne, and Sam Curtis, Ginny and Abby Lake, Two great-grandchildren; Tatum Elizabeth White and Hunter Thomas White. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday July 17th. from the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Dr. Bert Vaughn, Dr. Brian Clark and Rev. David Blackwood officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bogin and Jake White, Boone and Sam Curtis, and Jimmy and Gerald White and they are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday . Honorary escort will be Former Employees of Palmer Drugs along with Jimmy Palmer, Christie Brown, Eva Gaines , Willie Campbell and Henrietta Palmer and are asked to meet at the Mt.Pleasant United Methodist Church at 1:45 P.M. on Tuesday. The Church Choir will have charge of the music. On Tuesday the body will be carried to the church to lie instate from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday evening.
