Jane Hackney Casey

Jane Hackney Casey, age 86 of Douglasville, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at WellStar Douglas Hospital. Jane was born on September 11, 1932 in Resaca, GA to the late Roy L. Hackney and Nancy F. Singleton Hackney. In addition to her parents, Janie was also preceded in death by: two sister, Ruth Muncher and Roberta Goble; two brothers, Howard Hackney and Bill Hackney; and granddaughter, Amber Addison. Jane was a former resident of Resaca, GA and Dalton, GA, and later moved to Douglasville, GA. Prior to retirement, she worked for the Cobb County School System. Jane attended Crossroads Church of Douglasville. Jane is survived by: two sons, Mike Casey and Neal Casey; three daughters, Sandy Morton, Tammy Addison, and Shana Dixon; sister, Joyce Hardin; sister-in-law, Barbara Hackney; eight grandchildren, Lori, Lindsey, Amy, Mackenzie, Brian, Amanda, Stephanie, and Kaitlyn; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 9th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving are: Kris Green, Claude Pardue, Brian Casey, Harrison Phillips, Jason Phillips, and Larry Morton. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 PM until the funeral hour at 2 PM.
